Ortho-K & LASIK
Ortho-K
Corneal Refractive Therapy is a FDA-approved nighttime procedure that is alternative to LASIK, and is referred to as Ortho K or Paragon CRT. It uses a specially designed contact lens that is worn while the patient sleeps. The patient who is using Paragon CRT would wear a pair of contact lenses to his or her vision, similar to a patient wearing retainers at night to align their teeth. This therapy provides improved vision during the day without needing eyewear, such as glasses and contacts. This allows the patient to be free of broken frames and discomfort from contact lenses.
Paragon CRT corrects nearsightedness (myopia) with or without moderate astigmatism. There are no age restrictions for this therapy and it is very much recommended for active adolescents and athletic individuals. Please contact us if you have more questions about our Paragon CRT, which is the best alternative to LASIK eye surgery.
